Welcome to our community!

We're the Greenhaus Community - a residential community in Newtown, Wellington. We used to live in a large house built in 1906, with lots of friends living near by. In February 2016, nearly all of us moved out of the big haus and we handed it over to our friends the INK Community. Now we live somewhere nearby in a multitude of different houses connected to one another.

What is the Bible?

Rob Bell has written a great series of blog's explaining what the Bible is, and isn't.

He talks about articulating "a way of understanding the Bible in which your mind and your heart are both fully engaged as you see it and read it for what it is - a funky, ancient, poetic, revolting, provocative, mysterious, revelatory, scandalous and inspired collection of books called The Bible that tell a story, a story I want you to hear."

And it is, actually, fascinating!

Ever wondered why God told the Hebrews to murder women and children? Or Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son? The flood? Whale's with men in them? The tower of Babel...? Read this and all will be revealed in an incredibly insightful way:
